Bruce McIver is the current President of the League. He joined the League in November, 1991 as president. Prior employment included President of the Long Island Railroad, Commissioner of Labor Relations for the City of New York and Vice President of Labor Relations for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Thomas A. Helfrich is Senior Vice President and Counsel for the League. He has held this position since shortly after his 1976 graduation, summa cum laude, from New York Law School which he attended at night while working at the League as it’s Vice President. Mr. Helfrich received a bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, from Hanover College in 1966 and attended the University of Michigan Master’s Program in Hospital Administration. He came to the League after completing his administrative residency for that program and working in hospital administration at a current member of the League. He also maintains an independent private practice in the employee benefits area and has been retained as Employer Trustee Co-Counsel for various multi-employer pension, welfare, and similar funds created as a result of collective bargaining agreements between various unions and employers in the health care field.

Roseann Simonelli started working with the League in 1982 as the Secretary to the First President of the League, William Abelow. She has held various positions at the League including Office Manager and is currently the Vice President for Administration and Research. She is responsible for data collection and surveys, general contract questions, the League dues, budget and assessments. She has a BS from CUNY and a MSILR from Baruch College.

Pam Meyers is Executive Secretary to the President and, as such, maintains the President's calendar and coordinates meetings for the Board and Executive committee. She is responsible for updates to the Arbitration index, and assists League members with arbitration and general contract questions. Pam has been with the League since 1974, working for the Executive VP & Counsel, as well as working for the Director of Health Services Retirement Plan.

Maria Formoso, Administrative Assistant for Thomas A. Helfrich, Esq., is responsible for assisting Tom in everyday matters, job classification memos which deal with adjustments to rates, as well as many other administrative tasks for the League. |

Sean Moore, Special Assistant to the League, is a graduate of Pace University and works full time for LVHH. He is currently pursuing an MBA in Health Care Admisitration at Baruch College. Some of his responsibilities include maintaining the arbitration index, circulating various surveys throughout the League and providing analysis of collective bargaining agreement. |

Robert W. Linn, President of Linn & Green Consulting, Inc., provides consulting services to clients in the area of labor negotiations, arbitrations, health benefit cost containment, productivity initiatives and on broad human resource issues critical to workforce effectiveness. Before starting Linn & Green Consulting, Inc., Mr. Linn was Vice President and National Director of the Labor/Management Relations Practice at Hay Management Consultants. Prior to joining Hay, Mr. Linn served as New York City’s Chief Labor Negotiator and he also served simultaneously as the City’s Personnel Director, overseeing civil service, equal employment opportunity, recruitment, employee benefits, training and development. Mr. Linn has also held various positions practicing law within New York City and Federal governments and with the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom.

Howard Green, President of Howard Green Consulting, provides consulting services in labor relations, arbitrations, health benefit cost containment, productivity initiatives, compensation, and other human relations issues critical to work force effectiveness. Mr. Green has conducted extensive managerial and cost analyses of wages, pension, and health benefit funds. Both labor and management in collective bargaining negotiations have used his analyses and concepts. Mr. Green has served as an expert witness and strategist in numerous arbitrations pertaining to wages, pensions, and health benefits. |

Daniel Murphy, Jr., Managing Partner of Putney, Twombly, Hall & Hirson LLP, provides consulting services to the League and other clients - specializing in labor and employment law on behalf of management. Mr. Murphy is a graduate of Boston College Law School and has an LLM in Labor Law from New York University. He has been practicing law for thirty years, and has lectured on a variety of employment issues for the benefit of numerous professional associations seeking to comply with labor laws and regulations.
